Application Requirements
In the food and drug administration system, regulatory departments and testing agencies at all levels undertake the important task of food safety supervision. In order to quickly identify problem foods and prevent and control foodborne diseases, rapid identification technology is urgently needed. This technology needs to be able to accurately identify common pathogens, have high throughput to meet the detection of a large number of samples, and be easy to operate and adapt to the base layer. The current traditional culture method takes a long time, and targeted detection such as immunology and fluorescence quantitative PCR can only target one bacterium at a time, making it difficult to meet the demand. Although new technologies have made progress, they still need to be improved in terms of cost and grassroots popularity. Application units urgently need a molecular detection platform with high detection throughput, fast speed, support for ultra-many detections, and high cost performance.

Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) Solution - iFIND
Sample Processing: Built-in ultrasound combined with chemical lysis + high-efficiency microfiltration membrane purification.
System Construction: Fully enclosed cartridge, prefabricated lyophilized reagents, fully automatic system preparation.
Detection Results: Thin-film reaction zone with average temperature change rate ≥10℃/s. Ultra-multiplex detection realized by multiple probes, probe melting curve analysis and multi-cartridge combination.
Mobile Detection Solution - ArchiSuit
Sample Processing: 16/32-throughput automatic nucleic acid extractor for high-purity nucleic acid extraction from samples (e.g., food retention samples), improving the sensitivity and reliability of subsequent detection.
System Construction: Manual preparation of detection system or use of Rocgene lyophilized ready-to-use reagents.
Detection Results: Miniature 16-throughput real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR instrument combined with multiplex PCR technology, supporting amplification and melting curve analysis. Standard 4-color fluorescence, meeting daily detection needs for standard-throughput experiments.
Standard Detection Solution - ArchiPure+Archimed X Series
Sample Processing: 16/32/96 Pro-throughput automatic nucleic acid extractor for high-purity nucleic acid extraction from samples (e.g., food retention samples), improving the sensitivity and reliability of subsequent detection.

Successful Cases

Needs: A food and drug regulatory laboratory in a city of Jiangsu Province undertakes tasks including routine food supervision, sampling and testing, emergency response to foodborne incidents, risk prevention and control in production, and import/export food quarantine. It requires rapid screening of foodborne pathogens, shorter detection cycles, accurate traceability, and public health protection. The user needs a molecular detection platform with comprehensive pathogen coverage, simple operation and fast response.


Solution:

Based on early technical accumulation, the user has carried out in-depth cooperation with our company. Using Rocgene's independently developed molecular POCT platform iFIND, we jointly developed foodborne pathogen detection cartridges, and conducted multiplex foodborne pathogen testing on food retention samples using food residues/swabs.


Result Display:

With the POCT solution, the laboratory completed rapid detection of foodborne pathogens within 90 minutes, providing strong support for the holding of local international events.
