Scenario: During the flu season at the end of 2023, there was a nationwide surge in influenza-like patients, leading to difficulty in hospital treatment and risk of cross-infection.
Requirements: This year featured co-infection with multiple pathogens, resulting in an enormous testing burden on hospitals due to the large number of infected patients. At-home testing became a necessary supplement, with detection accuracy and speed as key factors.
Solution:
Online ordering was adopted for at-home sample collection and instant testing services. Conventional detection solutions with fixed throughput and slow speed could not meet the needs of a large number of patients. Therefore, service providers collaborated with third-party testing institutions to adopt our Rapid Detection Solution paired with respiratory multiplex detection reagents, providing patients with testing services featuring high pathogen coverage, fast result turnaround, and high cost-effectiveness.
Results:
Upon arrival at the laboratory, samples were scanned to collect patient information, which was automatically entered into the Archimed analysis system. ArchiPure16 completed nucleic acid extraction and purification within 9 minutes. The temperature ramp rate of Archimed Mini16 was specifically adjusted to adapt to the respiratory multiplex detection reagents purchased by the laboratory, reducing the detection time from 49 minutes (original platform) to 29 minutes. Additionally, a customized test report system was developed for the laboratory, truly achieving unattended report generation.
