Opening Ceremony

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Dai Tao, Deputy General Manager of Rocgene (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a warm speech on behalf of General Manager Guo Qiuzhen. He stated that the establishment of Wuhan Rocgene Biomedical Technology Co., Ltd. is an important achievement of innovative development in the biotechnology sector and a vivid example of Optics Valley Bio-City’s continuous promotion of industrial upgrading. He expressed hope that Wuhan Rocgene will leverage its strengths to make greater contributions to the development of China’s biotechnology industry.

Subsequently, Ms. Yu Yanfei, Director of the Industry Department of the Construction Service Center of Wuhan National Bio-Industrial Base, delivered a speech. She noted that as a key base for China’s biotechnology industry, Optics Valley Bio-City has long been committed to promoting industrial innovation and development. Rocgene has long focused on translating cutting-edge life science technologies into clinically relevant medical research products and developing molecular products with independent intellectual property rights. She expressed confidence that Rocgene’s presence will further enhance the competitiveness and influence of Optics Valley Bio-City in the molecular diagnostics market. She hoped that while achieving its own development, Rocgene will deepen cooperation with other enterprises in the park to jointly drive the growth of the biological industry in Optics Valley. Mr. Zhao Xiangyang from Refody Biomedical (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. also delivered a speech. He stated that the cooperation between Refody and Wuhan Rocgene is not only a strong alliance but also a concrete practice to realize the Chinese Dream of Health. The two parties will jointly develop innovative technologies, promote the upgrading of biomedical equipment and solutions, and contribute to human health.

Finally, Mr. Shi Taiping, General Manager of Wuhan Rocgene Biomedical Technology Co., Ltd., expressed sincere gratitude to all guests. He shared three key words with the attendees: The first was “Gratitude”, thanking Ms. Yu Yanfei for her support in site selection, planning and policies; thanking leaders of Rocgene for their guidance; and thanking the preparation team for their hard work.
