Tuberculosis remains a severe public health challenge in China, and ending TB is our shared goal. Scientific research has driven advances in rapid and precise TB diagnostic tools, epidemiological patterns, immune mechanisms in TB patients, and vaccine development, providing new strategies for TB prevention and control.

To promote the exchange of cutting‑edge achievements in TB diagnosis, prevention, and related disciplines, share experience in clinical treatment and laboratory diagnosis, and enhance the capacity for prevention and control of respiratory infectious diseases, the **5th Symposium on Innovation in Clinical and Laboratory Tuberculosis** will be held in **Tongren, Guizhou** from **April 25 to 29, 2024**. The conference is hosted by the Beijing Alliance for Innovation in TB Diagnosis and Treatment Technology, and co‑organized by the Clinical Laboratory Committee of the TB Society of the Chinese Medical Association, the Latent Infection Committee of the TB Society of the Chinese Medical Association, Beijing Chest Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University, Guangzhou Chest Hospital, Shandong Provincial Public Health Clinical Center, and Jiangsu Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention. The theme is: **“Striving constantly, exploring the truth of TB”**.

1. Conference Theme

Under the theme “Striving constantly, exploring the truth of TB”, the conference aims to strengthen interdisciplinary exchange in basic and clinical TB research, address key challenges in laboratory diagnosis, share clinical applications of new anti‑TB drugs and regimens, explore diagnostic methods for latent TB infection and prevention strategies for special populations, and promote innovative development of TB diagnosis, treatment and laboratory research.

Professionals engaged in tuberculosis‑related fields from designated TB medical institutions, general hospitals, TB prevention and control institutions, and research institutes nationwide.
