Infectious disease prevention and control is a timeless topic amid social progress. The “Academic Symposium on Basic Research and Technical Application of Infectious Disease Prevention and Control” hosted by the Editorial Board of *Chinese Journal of Preventive Medicine*, Chinese Medical Association has been successfully held for 14 sessions. The 15th Symposium will be held in Changsha from June 14 to 16, 2024.
